India's T20 captain Shreyas Iyer stated that young batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is not yet ready to be included in the playing eleven. Iyer explained that regular openers Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson are performing consistently and were instrumental in India winning the T20 World Cup. Sooryavanshi has played only eight of the 21 T20Is since his selection earlier this year. Iyer assured that the teenager will get his opportunities in due course, and his exposure to overseas conditions will prepare him for future assignments.
