MBBS Students Get 5 Chances to Pass First Year Exams

NMC has approved an additional 'mercy attempt' for MBBS students admitted from 2019-20 onwards, granting them a total of five opportunities to pass their first-year exams. This decision aims to help students facing academic backlogs due to various challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The special concession is a one-time measure for pending cases and does not alter the maximum 10-year period to complete the MBBS course. Medical colleges have been instructed to process eligible students' cases accordingly.

एनएमसी ने 2019-20 से दाखिला लेने वाले एमबीबीएस छात्रों के लिए एक अतिरिक्त 'दया प्रयास' को मंजूरी दे दी है, जिससे उन्हें फर्स्ट ईयर की परीक्षा पास करने के लिए कुल पांच मौके मिलेंगे। इस फैसले का मकसद कोविड-19 महामारी सहित विभिन्न चुनौतियों के कारण अकादमिक बैकलॉग का सामना कर रहे छात्रों की मदद करना है। यह विशेष रियायत लंबित मामलों के लिए एक बार का उपाय है और एमबीबीएस कोर्स पूरा करने की अधिकतम 10 साल की अवधि को नहीं बदलती है। मेडिकल कॉलेजों को पात्र छात्रों के मामलों को तदनुसार संसाधित करने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
