A total of 1,526 participants, including 93 persons with disabilities and a 78-year-old, have registered for the State-level Dasara yoga competition in Mysuru. Women and girls constitute 56% of the participants, with individuals from all 30 districts of Karnataka taking part. The competition, inaugurated by MLA T.S. Srivatsa, aims to promote yoga awareness across the state. Children and adolescents aged eight to 18 represent the largest age group, accounting for 66% of registrations, highlighting a strong youth engagement in the practice.
