IMD Forecasts Four Days of Rain Across Odisha Districts

IMD has forecast light to moderate rainfall in scattered places across Odisha districts for four days starting Wednesday. This is due to an easterly trough influenced by a cyclonic circulation over the Andaman Sea, which may develop into a low-pressure area. Light to moderate rainfall is also expected at isolated places during Durga Puja. The IMD indicated conditions are favourable for the withdrawal of the south-west monsoon from the remaining parts of the country, including Odisha, within the next two days.

IMD ने बुधवार से शुरू होने वाले चार दिनों तक ओडिशा के जिलों में छिटपुट स्थानों पर हल्की से मध्यम बारिश का पूर्वानुमान लगाया है। यह अंडमान सागर के ऊपर एक चक्रवाती परिसंचरण से प्रभावित पूर्वी ट्रफ के कारण है, जो एक निम्न दबाव क्षेत्र में विकसित हो सकता है। दुर्गा पूजा के दौरान भी अलग-अलग स्थानों पर हल्की से मध्यम बारिश की उम्मीद है। IMD ने संकेत दिया है कि अगले दो दिनों के भीतर देश के शेष हिस्सों, जिसमें ओडिशा भी शामिल है, से दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून की वापसी के लिए स्थितियाँ अनुकूल हैं।
