Mini Bus Plunges Into Drain On Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Killing Eight People

A mini bus carrying around 23 family members from Madhya Pradesh veered off the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Kota early Saturday morning. The vehicle plunged into a 15-foot-deep drain, resulting in the deaths of at least eight people and injuring eight others. Rescue operations were hampered by mud and water, with cranes used to retrieve the wreckage. The family was traveling from Bhopal to the Khatu Shyamji temple in Rajasthan. Authorities fear the death toll may rise as the site is cleared and identities are verified.

मध्य प्रदेश के करीब 23 परिवार के सदस्यों को ले जा रही एक मिनी बस शनिवार तड़के कोटा के पास दिल्ली-मुंबई एक्सप्रेसवे से उतर गई। वाहन 15 फुट गहरे नाले में गिर गया, जिससे कम से कम आठ लोगों की मौत हो गई और आठ अन्य घायल हो गए। कीचड़ और पानी के कारण बचाव कार्य बाधित हुआ, और मलबे को निकालने के लिए क्रेन का इस्तेमाल किया गया। परिवार राजस्थान के खाटू श्यामजी मंदिर की यात्रा कर रहा था। अधिकारियों को डर है कि जैसे-जैसे स्थल को साफ किया जाएगा और पहचान सत्यापित की जाएगी, मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़ सकती है।
