Telangana Government Introduces Third-Party Inspections for Building Approvals

Telangana is partially relaxing building rules by introducing third-party inspections for issuing building permissions and occupancy certificates. This move aligns with the Central government's deregulation policy. For certain plot sizes and building heights, empanelled third parties will submit inspection reports, after which municipal commissioners will issue commencement or rejection letters. Regulatory scrutiny will be limited to random inspections of 10% of properties cleared by these consultants. The new system will be implemented uniformly across all civic bodies in the state.
