DJ Akademiks has stated that Complex orchestrated the appearance of Playboi Carti alongside Kanye West at ComplexCon. He alleges this was a deliberate setup by Complex to shift the public narrative. The move was reportedly intended to distract from or counter the negative attention generated by violence that occurred outside the event. This suggests a strategic effort by the organizers to manage public perception during the convention.
