LDF Wins Both Local Body Wards In Kannur

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has secured victories in both local body wards in Kannur where by-elections were held. The LDF wrested back the Bavode East ward of Peralassery panchayat from the United Democratic Front (UDF) and retained the Uruvachal division of Mattannur municipality. In Bavode East, the LDF candidate won by 65 votes, reversing a previous UDF margin of 13 votes. The LDF's majority in Uruvachal also saw an increase. LDF leaders stated the results indicate a clear mandate against the UDF.

कन्नूर में स्थानीय निकाय की दोनों सीटें LDF जीती

कन्नूर में स्थानीय निकाय की जिन दो सीटों पर उपचुनाव हुए थे, उनमें लेफ्ट डेमोक्रेटिक फ्रंट (LDF) ने जीत हासिल की है। LDF ने पेरालास्सेरी पंचायत के बावडे ईस्ट वार्ड को यूनाइटेड डेमोक्रेटिक फ्रंट (UDF) से वापस छीन लिया और मट्टानूर नगरपालिका के उरुवाचल डिवीजन को बरकरार रखा। बावडे ईस्ट में LDF उम्मीदवार 65 वोटों से जीते, जिसने पिछले UDF के 13 वोटों के अंतर को पलट दिया। उरुवाचल में LDF के बहुमत में भी वृद्धि हुई। LDF नेताओं ने कहा कि नतीजे UDF के खिलाफ स्पष्ट जनादेश का संकेत देते हैं।
