The Indian Air Force has unveiled a comprehensive roadmap for future aerial warfare, focusing on integrating unmanned and autonomous systems with traditional fighter jets. This strategy aims to enhance combat capabilities by developing 16 types of modern drone systems, categorized into strategic, operational, tactical, and low-cost systems. Over 100 industry representatives attended a recent outreach program in New Delhi to discuss indigenous technology development. The Air Force seeks to create networked systems where fighter jets can direct drone swarms, confusing enemy defenses and ensuring self-reliance in critical defense technologies.
