Punjab RERA Restores Buyer's Flat, Orders Interest

Punjab RERA has reinstated a Zirakpur homebuyer's flat allotment, overturning its cancellation by Suksha Developers. The authority directed the builder to pay 10% annual interest for delaying possession of the flat in the Sushma Valencia project. The buyer had approached RERA after the builder cancelled his allotment and demanded a penalty of ₹17 lakh. RERA noted the developer failed to obtain the completion certificate and deliver possession within the agreed timeline, deeming the possession offer invalid.

पंजाब RERA ने जीरकपुर के एक घर खरीदार के फ्लैट का आवंटन बहाल कर दिया है, सुक्शा डेवलपर्स द्वारा इसे रद्द करने के फैसले को पलट दिया है। प्राधिकरण ने बिल्डर को सुक्शा वैलेंसिया प्रोजेक्ट में फ्लैट का कब्ज़ा देने में देरी के लिए 10% वार्षिक ब्याज देने का निर्देश दिया है। खरीदार बिल्डर द्वारा उसका आवंटन रद्द करने और ₹17 लाख का जुर्माना मांगने के बाद RERA के पास गया था। RERA ने कहा कि डेवलपर को कंप्लीशन सर्टिफिकेट नहीं मिला था और तय समय में कब्ज़ा नहीं दिया गया था, इसलिए कब्ज़ा देने का प्रस्ताव अमान्य था।
