Tata Chairman's Family Firm Linked to TVS Motor Projects Amid Governance Row

Hindustan Times - Business · business

A company owned by the family of Tata Sons chairman N. Chandrasekaran is developing a ₹330-crore industrial park in Karnataka for TVS Motor Co. This marks their second project with the two-wheeler maker, whose chairman-emeritus Venu Srinivasan previously backed Chandrasekaran's reappointment. Neither Chandrasekaran nor Srinivasan disclosed this business relationship to Tata Sons or Tata Trusts. Corporate governance experts are questioning the potential conflict of interest and a breach of the Tata Code of Conduct due to the lack of disclosure.
