Varsity Protest Over Ghost, Missing Girls Rumours

Students at a private university in Rajpura protested through Friday night and into Saturday morning following rumours of a haunted hostel and two missing female students. The unrest escalated, leading to clashes with police, vandalism of police vehicles, and damage to campus property. University officials and police confirmed that the rumours, reportedly sparked by a prank, were false, with no students missing or having died by suicide. An inquiry is underway to identify those responsible for spreading the misinformation and causing vandalism.
