मंगलवार सुबह जम्मू-कश्मीर के बारामूला में रिक्टर स्केल पर 3.6 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया। सुबह करीब 7:30 बजे झटके महसूस किए गए, जिससे लोगों में थोड़ी घबराहट फैल गई। गनीमत रही कि किसी भी जान-माल के नुकसान की तत्काल कोई खबर नहीं है। यह इलाका भूकंपीय रूप से सक्रिय हिमालयी क्षेत्र का हिस्सा है, इसलिए ऐसे भूकंप आते रहते हैं।
