Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer has suggested that Virat Kohli may have been unhappy with how his Test retirement was managed. Jaffer believes Kohli felt a degree of displeasure with the treatment he received, especially given his immense popularity and potential to play more matches. This comes after Kohli and Rohit Sharma both announced their Test retirements within a five-day span in May 2025. While the exact reasons remain debated, Jaffer's comments add a new perspective to the circumstances surrounding Kohli's sudden departure from the format.
