US President Donald Trump has threatened generic pharmaceutical companies with a 200% tariff on imported products after August 2028. He has given them a two-year window to establish manufacturing facilities within the United States. This move could significantly impact the Indian pharmaceutical industry, which is a major supplier of generic drugs to the US market.
