Telangana is set to request a special financial package from the central government to mitigate the potential effects of El Nino. A delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will meet with the Prime Minister and Union Ministers in New Delhi to submit a representation. The state aims to secure financial assistance and additional workdays under the VB-G RAM G Scheme. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy advised farmers to avoid a second crop and follow official advisories due to anticipated El Nino intensification.
