Andhra Pradesh SEC Directs Officials For Free, Fair Local Body Polls

Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha has instructed district collectors, SPs, and police officials to ensure local body elections are conducted peacefully, freely, and transparently. He emphasized zero tolerance for negligence or political bias, allowing voters to cast ballots without fear. Punetha reviewed election arrangements and addressed complaints of obstruction and pressure during the initial phase. Officials were directed to respond promptly to malpractices and conduct impartial inquiries, ensuring justice is visible. Special security measures, including CCTV surveillance, will be implemented at sensitive polling stations.

आंध्र प्रदेश राज्य चुनाव आयुक्त अनिल चंद्र पुनेथा ने जिला कलेक्टरों, एसपी और पुलिस अधिकारियों को स्थानीय निकाय चुनाव शांतिपूर्ण, स्वतंत्र और पारदर्शी तरीके से कराने का निर्देश दिया है। उन्होंने लापरवाही या राजनीतिक पक्षपात के प्रति शून्य सहनशीलता पर जोर दिया, जिससे मतदाता बिना किसी डर के मतदान कर सकें। पुनेथा ने चुनाव व्यवस्थाओं की समीक्षा की और शुरुआती चरण के दौरान बाधा और दबाव की शिकायतों का समाधान किया। अधिकारियों को कदाचार पर तुरंत प्रतिक्रिया देने और निष्पक्ष जांच करने का निर्देश दिया गया, जिससे न्याय दिखाई दे। संवेदनशील मतदान केंद्रों पर सीसीटीवी निगरानी सहित विशेष सुरक्षा उपाय लागू किए जाएंगे।
