This decline was attributed to rising oil prices, elevated US Treasury yields, and broader Asian market losses. PSU bank shares also saw a dip after recent gains. The market breadth indicated more declining stocks than advancing ones, with the India VIX, a volatility gauge, jumping over 11%.

भारतीय शेयर बाज़ारों में दोपहर के कारोबार में भारी गिरावट आई। Sensex 813.01 अंक और Nifty 257.05 अंक नीचे आ गए। बढ़ती तेल की कीमतें, अमेरिका की Treasury yields का बढ़ना और एशियाई बाज़ारों में गिरावट इसके मुख्य कारण रहे। PSU बैंक शेयरों में भी गिरावट देखी गई। बाज़ार में गिरावट वाले शेयरों की संख्या बढ़त वाले शेयरों से ज़्यादा थी, और India VIX में 11% से ज़्यादा की तेज़ी आई।
