Kapila Taneja, a survivor of dowry-related violence from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. She revealed her in-laws allegedly tried to set her on fire in 2002 and demanded dowry. Kapila also shared that she was separated from her daughter for 24 years. She won Rs 7.5 lakh on the show and plans to use the money for surgeries and to open a home for unwed mothers.
