Karnataka BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra has accused the state's Congress government of releasing approximately 2.5 tmcft of Krishna river water to Telangana for political reasons. He claims the D.K. Shivakumar government is prioritizing political relationships over the interests of Karnataka farmers. Vijayendra also demanded the state government waive farm loans up to ₹2 lakh per farmer and provide drought-related crop loss compensation, citing Maharashtra's actions as a model. He further alleged the government is neglecting farmers and engaging in real-estate business through new township projects.

कर्नाटक बीजेपी के अध्यक्ष बी. वाई. विजयेंद्र ने राज्य की कांग्रेस सरकार पर राजनीतिक कारणों से कृष्णा नदी का लगभग 2.5 टीएमसीएफटी पानी तेलंगाना को छोड़ने का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने दावा किया कि डी. के. शिवकुमार सरकार कर्नाटक के किसानों के हितों पर राजनीतिक संबंधों को प्राथमिकता दे रही है। विजयेंद्र ने राज्य सरकार से प्रति किसान ₹2 लाख तक के कृषि ऋण माफ करने और महाराष्ट्र की कार्रवाई का हवाला देते हुए सूखे से संबंधित फसल नुकसान का मुआवजा देने की भी मांग की। उन्होंने आगे आरोप लगाया कि सरकार किसानों की उपेक्षा कर रही है और नई टाउनशिप परियोजनाओं के माध्यम से रियल-एस्टेट व्यवसाय में लगी हुई है।
