Bihar Govt to Offer Subsidies for Reviving Old Mango and Litchi Orchards

The Bihar government is launching a subsidy scheme to support the scientific management of old mango and litchi orchards in 19 districts. This initiative aims to boost fruit production and increase farmers' income by providing financial assistance for pruning, canopy management, and nutrient supply. Orchard owners can receive subsidies covering 40% of the costs for pruning and shade management, as well as nutrient management. Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha announced that this program, prepared under the Integrated Horticulture Development Scheme, will help rejuvenate trees and improve growers' returns.

बिहार सरकार 19 जिलों में पुराने आम और लीची के बागों के वैज्ञानिक प्रबंधन में मदद के लिए एक सब्सिडी योजना शुरू कर रही है। इस पहल का मकसद छंटाई, कैनोपी प्रबंधन और पोषक तत्वों की आपूर्ति के लिए वित्तीय सहायता देकर फलों के उत्पादन को बढ़ाना और किसानों की आय में वृद्धि करना है। बाग मालिकों को छंटाई और छाया प्रबंधन के साथ-साथ पोषक तत्व प्रबंधन के लिए 40% तक की लागत पर सब्सिडी मिल सकती है। कृषि मंत्री विजय कुमार सिन्हा ने घोषणा की कि इंटीग्रेटेड हॉर्टिकल्चर डेवलपमेंट स्कीम के तहत तैयार यह कार्यक्रम पेड़ों को फिर से जीवंत करने और उत्पादकों के मुनाफे में सुधार करने में मदद करेगा।
