Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi stated that India needs a level playing field for all businesses, emphasizing his anti-monopoly stance. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge alleged the BJP is implementing 'economic terrorism' by curbing competition, citing a drastic reduction in major players in sectors like telecommunications and domestic aviation. He claimed this policy benefits favored capitalists and harms small and medium industries, leading to unemployment.
