Uttarakhand HC Dismisses Minister's Husband's Plea to Quash FIR

The Uttarakhand high court has dismissed a petition by Girdhari Lal Sahu, husband of state minister Rekha Arya, seeking to quash a First Information Report (FIR) against him. Justice Alok Mahra observed that the allegations disclosed serious cognisable offences and were not merely a matrimonial dispute. The FIR, registered last month, accuses Sahu of concealing a previous marriage, maintaining relationships with other women, and subjecting Arya to assault and abuse.

उत्तराखंड हाईकोर्ट ने राज्य की मंत्री रेखा आर्या के पति गिरधारी लाल साहू की उनके खिलाफ दर्ज FIR को रद्द करने की याचिका खारिज कर दी है। जस्टिस आलोक महरा ने कहा कि आरोप गंभीर संज्ञेय अपराधों का खुलासा करते हैं और यह सिर्फ वैवाहिक विवाद नहीं है। पिछले महीने दर्ज हुई FIR में साहू पर पिछला विवाह छिपाने, अन्य महिलाओं से संबंध रखने और आर्या को मारपीट व दुर्व्यवहार करने का आरोप है।
