Trump Plans 15-Month Closure of Historic Golf Course Amid Legal Challenge

Hindustan Times · politics

US President Donald Trump announced plans to close the historic East Potomac Golf Course in Washington, DC, for 15 months starting November 15 for major renovations. The announcement comes despite an ongoing legal challenge that has temporarily halted redevelopment work. A judge had previously stopped plans after criticising the government for tree removal without sufficient notice. Trump aims to transform the course into one of the world's best, remaining open to the public and potentially hosting international tournaments.
