Police had previously issued a notice to Dipke, warning him against holding a rally in the area due to Section 163 of the BNS being in effect, which prohibits demonstrations. The notice cited potential disruption to traffic and emergency services as reasons for the ban. Despite the warning, Dipke was taken into custody by the police when he left his residence.
