Delhi Bans Over 10 Lakh NCR Vehicles Below BS6 Standards

Delhi will prohibit vehicles below BS6 emission standards from NCR areas like Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad from entering the city between November 1, 2026, and. Transport department estimates suggest over 10 lakh vehicles in these neighbouring regions do not meet the BS6 norms. Authorities are strengthening checks at border points using ANPR and AI-powered cameras, with around 300 enforcement personnel to be deployed. This measure is part of Delhi's winter pollution control plan to combat deteriorating air quality during the season.
