Kartik Maharaj Calls Bengal Intellectuals 'Brihannala'

Kartik Maharaj, also known as Swami Pradiptananda, has referred to Bengal's intellectuals as 'Brihannala', a term from the Mahabharata signifying a transgender identity. He made this remark during a Gita recital event attended by CM Suvendu Adhikari and Union minister Sukanta Majumdar. Maharaj invoked a Ramayana story where Lord Rama granted a boon to Kinnars, stating they would be reborn as intellectuals in Bengal. He also urged Bengali Hindus to unite for a significant struggle, calling for the 'slaying of the demon'.
