Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is prepared to cease attacks on Russian oil refineries, provided Russia halts its strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. This response comes after US President Donald Trump urged Ukraine to stop the attacks, citing rising fuel prices ahead of US midterm elections. Zelenskyy emphasized that any agreement must include real guarantees and reiterated that Russia is the sole cause of the war. Ukraine is also seeking stronger European support for its defence and increased sanctions against Moscow.
