Pakistan has appealed to Afghanistan's Taliban government to prevent terrorists from using Afghan territory to launch attacks. Tensions have escalated due to ongoing border clashes and Pakistani airstrikes. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar warned Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund in July 2025 that failure to act against terrorist groups could make them a threat to the Afghan government itself. Pakistan alleges Kabul harbors groups like TTP, BLA, and Al-Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent, though the Taliban denies this.
