Four Assam Police Personnel Suspended After Halting Ambulance for CM’s Convoy

Four Assam Police personnel in Cachar district have been suspended pending an inquiry for stopping an ambulance to allow Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's convoy to pass in Silchar. The Chief Minister himself apologized on social media, stating that no VIP movement should ever take precedence over emergency services. He ordered an investigation into the incident and assured strict action against those responsible. The suspended officers have been directed to report to Police Reserve, Silchar, and deposit their government kits.

सिलचर में मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा के काफिले को रास्ता देने के लिए एक एम्बुलेंस को रोकने के आरोप में कछार जिले के चार असम पुलिस कर्मियों को जांच लंबित रहने तक निलंबित कर दिया गया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने खुद सोशल मीडिया पर माफी मांगी और कहा कि किसी भी वीआईपी मूवमेंट को कभी भी आपातकालीन सेवाओं पर प्राथमिकता नहीं दी जानी चाहिए। उन्होंने घटना की जांच का आदेश दिया और जिम्मेदार लोगों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई का आश्वासन दिया। निलंबित अधिकारियों को पुलिस रिजर्व, सिलचर में रिपोर्ट करने और अपने सरकारी किट जमा करने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
