Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged the Central government to confer the Bharat Ratna on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Reddy also proposed establishing a knowledge centre in Delhi in Singh's name to recognise his contributions to modern India. Speaking at the unveiling of Manmohan Singh's statue in Hyderabad, Reddy highlighted Singh's role in economic reforms and the creation of Telangana. He emphasised that decisions like this should transcend political considerations, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take the initiative.

तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए. रेवंत रेड्डी ने केंद्र सरकार से पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह को भारत रत्न देने का आग्रह किया है। रेड्डी ने आधुनिक भारत में सिंह के योगदान को पहचानने के लिए दिल्ली में उनके नाम पर एक ज्ञान केंद्र स्थापित करने का भी प्रस्ताव रखा। हैदराबाद में मनमोहन सिंह की प्रतिमा के अनावरण के अवसर पर बोलते हुए, रेड्डी ने आर्थिक सुधारों और तेलंगाना के निर्माण में सिंह की भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि ऐसे निर्णय राजनीतिक विचारों से परे होने चाहिए, और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से पहल करने का आग्रह किया।
