The Kerala Coir Department is set to launch new initiatives aimed at attracting women entrepreneurs to the coir sector and enhancing the marketing of its products. Minister Ramesh Chennithala has directed the coir development director to propose schemes that will boost production, distribution, and employment opportunities for women, while also expanding market reach. To address the current crisis in fibre production and raw material shortages, the department plans to establish 10 new coir consortiums. The government's goal is to protect the traditional coir sector and ensure steady income for workers.

केरल का कोयर विभाग महिला उद्यमियों को कोयर क्षेत्र में आकर्षित करने और इसके उत्पादों के विपणन को बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से नई पहल शुरू करने के लिए तैयार है। मंत्री रमेश चेन्निथला ने कोयर विकास निदेशक को ऐसी योजनाएँ प्रस्तावित करने का निर्देश दिया है जो महिलाओं के लिए उत्पादन, वितरण और रोजगार के अवसरों को बढ़ावा देंगी, साथ ही बाज़ार पहुँच का विस्तार भी करेंगी। फाइबर उत्पादन और कच्चे माल की कमी के मौजूदा संकट को दूर करने के लिए, विभाग 10 नए कोयर कंसोर्टियम स्थापित करने की योजना बना रहा है। सरकार का लक्ष्य पारंपरिक कोयर क्षेत्र की रक्षा करना और श्रमिकों के लिए स्थिर आय सुनिश्चित करना है।
