Lizard in Sambar: 40 Students Fall Ill

A dead lizard was found in sambar served at a government school in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district on Friday, leading to around 40 students falling ill. The incident occurred at Kottaiyur Middle School as part of the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme. Affected students experienced vomiting and dizziness and were hospitalized. Two cooks were removed from duty, and disciplinary action was ordered against school officials. The kitchen will undergo thorough cleaning, and teachers are now required to sample meals before distribution.

तमिलनाडु के तिरुवल्लूर जिले के एक सरकारी स्कूल में शुक्रवार को सांभर में मरी हुई छिपकली मिलने से हड़कंप मच गया। मुख्यमंत्री नाश्ता योजना के तहत कोटाियुर मिडल स्कूल में हुई इस घटना में करीब 40 बच्चे बीमार पड़ गए। बच्चों को उल्टी और चक्कर आने लगे, जिन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। दो रसोइयों को हटा दिया गया है और स्कूल अधिकारियों पर कार्रवाई के आदेश दिए गए हैं।
