Pune Court Remands Defence Firm CEO Ashish Kansal in Judicial Custody

A special CBI court in Pune has remanded businessman Ashish Kansal, CEO of defence firm SMPP, to judicial custody. Kansal is allegedly involved in a bribery case concerning defence contracts, including a Rs 500-crore order from Munitions India Limited. The CBI is investigating a bribery network suspected of facilitating defence-related contracts. Two other individuals, BR Anil Kumar and Harshavardhan, are also in judicial custody in connection with the case. The investigation aims to uncover the involvement of multiple stakeholders in the alleged corruption.

पुणे की एक विशेष सीबीआई अदालत ने व्यवसायी आशीष कंसल, जो डिफेंस फर्म SMPP के सीईओ हैं, को न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया है। कंसल पर कथित तौर पर रक्षा अनुबंधों से जुड़े रिश्वतखोरी के मामले में शामिल होने का आरोप है, जिसमें Munitions India Limited से 500 करोड़ रुपये का ऑर्डर भी शामिल है। सीबीआई रक्षा अनुबंधों को सुगम बनाने के लिए कथित रिश्वतखोरी नेटवर्क की जांच कर रही है। इस मामले में दो अन्य व्यक्ति, बीआर अनिल कुमार और हर्षवर्धन भी न्यायिक हिरासत में हैं। इस जांच का उद्देश्य कथित भ्रष्टाचार में कई हितधारकों की संलिप्तता का पता लगाना है।
