Congress leader Jitu Patwari has accused the Madhya Pradesh government of shielding the liquor mafia after the Dewas district administration denied claims of over 10 deaths due to spurious liquor. Residents of Chandana and Binjana villages allege multiple deaths and vision damage from consuming illicit alcohol. Patwari claims around 22 deaths and significant vision impairment in the affected villages. The Chief Minister has termed the deaths distressing and ordered an investigation, promising no guilty parties will be spared.

कांग्रेस नेता जीतू पटवारी ने मध्य प्रदेश सरकार पर शराब माफिया को बचाने का आरोप लगाया है, क्योंकि देवास जिला प्रशासन ने जहरीली शराब से 10 से ज़्यादा लोगों की मौत के दावों को खारिज कर दिया है। चंदन और बिनजना गांवों के निवासियों ने अवैध शराब पीने से कई लोगों की मौत और दृष्टि क्षति का आरोप लगाया है। पटवारी का दावा है कि प्रभावित गांवों में करीब 22 मौतें हुई हैं और दृष्टिबाधित लोगों की संख्या काफी है। मुख्यमंत्री ने मौतों को दुखद बताया है और जांच के आदेश दिए हैं, साथ ही भरोसा दिलाया है कि किसी भी दोषी को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा।
