One person was killed and another injured, with over a dozen houses destroyed in Nagaland's Kiphire district on Saturday. The violence erupted between the Tikhir and Yimkhiung communities following a dispute. Authorities imposed prohibitory orders and deployed additional security forces to control the situation, which remained tense. Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton urged for restraint and dialogue, while the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation called on tribal councils to intervene and restore normalcy.
