पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ने कोलकाता के चोरबागान में एक दुर्गा पूजा पंडाल में हुई भगदड़ की जांच के लिए एक तथ्य-खोज समिति का आदेश दिया है। इस घटना में 18 लोगों की मौत हो गई और दो दर्जन से अधिक लोग घायल हो गए। मुख्यमंत्री ने जोर देकर कहा कि मानव जीवन किसी भी थीम से ज्यादा कीमती है, और घायलों के इलाज और मृतकों के परिवारों को सहायता को प्राथमिकता दी। उन्होंने कोलकाता पुलिस को भीड़ प्रबंधन और स्थल सुरक्षा के लिए जिम्मेदार व्यक्तियों, जिनमें निजी सुरक्षा कर्मी और पुलिस अधिकारी शामिल हैं, को हिरासत में लेने और पूछताछ करने का निर्देश दिया है।
