Supreme Court Rejects Hindi Official Language Plea

The Supreme Court has refused to entertain a PIL that sought the establishment of a commission to examine the use of Hindi as an official language in the apex court. A bench stated that language reforms are being handled administratively and cannot be mandated by judicial orders. The court is already introducing reforms gradually, including providing descriptions of reports in Hindi and planning to include other regional languages.
