Women's Group Demands Strict Action After School Saw Attack

The Progressive Organisation of Women (POW) protested in Visakhapatnam, condemning an attack on a Class X student with an electric saw at a Raptadu school. POW State president M. Lakshmi demanded stringent punishment for the accused and better medical care for injured students. She also called for State support for families, a thorough investigation, and a fast-track court. POW further advocated for safety committees in all educational institutions and a mechanism for students to report grievances without fear.

प्रोग्रेसिव ऑर्गनाइजेशन ऑफ वुमेन (POW) ने विशाखापत्तनम में एक स्कूल में क्लास X के छात्र पर इलेक्ट्रिक आरी से हुए हमले की निंदा करते हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। POW की राज्य अध्यक्ष एम. लक्ष्मी ने आरोपियों को कड़ी सजा देने और घायल छात्रों को बेहतर चिकित्सा देखभाल की मांग की। उन्होंने परिवारों के लिए राज्य समर्थन, गहन जांच और एक फास्ट-ट्रैक अदालत की भी मांग की। POW ने सभी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में सुरक्षा समितियों और छात्रों के लिए बिना किसी डर के शिकायतें दर्ज कराने की व्यवस्था की भी वकालत की।
