AAIB Seeks Better Coordination Between Civil and Defence Aviation

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has called for enhanced collaboration between civil and defence aviation authorities. This comes after a near-miss incident at Goa's Dabolim Airport, where an Air India Express flight and a Naval aircraft were on the same runway simultaneously. The AAIB has recommended establishing a formal framework for information exchange and has issued safety recommendations for air traffic controllers and airport infrastructure. The report also advises counselling for the AI Express crew involved in the incident.
