Odisha CM Launches 44-Day Campaign to Make Panchayats Child Labour-Free

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has launched a statewide 44-day campaign aimed at eradicating child labour and ensuring every child's right to education. Describing child labour as a social evil, Majhi emphasized that eliminating it requires collective societal participation beyond government efforts. The campaign will focus on identifying and preventing child labour, promoting school enrollment, and raising awareness about children's rights. Special gram sabhas were held to adopt resolutions for rural development, including the goal of eliminating child labour, alongside awareness drives.
ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री मोहन चरण माझी ने बाल श्रम को खत्म करने और हर बच्चे के शिक्षा के अधिकार को सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से 44 दिन का एक राज्यव्यापी अभियान शुरू किया है। बाल श्रम को सामाजिक बुराई बताते हुए, माझी ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि इसे खत्म करने के लिए सरकारी प्रयासों से परे सामूहिक सामाजिक भागीदारी की आवश्यकता है। यह अभियान बाल श्रम की पहचान करने और उसे रोकने, स्कूल में नामांकन को बढ़ावा देने और बच्चों के अधिकारों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने पर केंद्रित होगा। ग्रामीण विकास के लिए प्रस्ताव अपनाने हेतु विशेष ग्राम सभाएं आयोजित की गईं, जिसमें जागरूकता अभियानों के साथ-साथ बाल श्रम को खत्म करने का लक्ष्य भी शामिल था।
