Tenders for Section V of the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road, stretching approximately 27 km from Singaperumal Koil to Poonjeri, have been cancelled by the Tamil Nadu Road Development Company due to administrative reasons. This section was planned as a six-lane dual carriageway with service lanes, funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The overall project aims to enhance connectivity to Ennore and Kattupalli ports.

चेन्नई पेरिफेरल रिंग रोड के सेक्शन V के टेंडर रद्द कर दिए गए हैं। यह 27 किलोमीटर लंबा सेक्शन सिंगपेरुमल कोइल से पूंजेरी तक बनना था। तमिलनाडु रोड डेवलपमेंट कंपनी ने प्रशासनिक कारणों से यह फैसला लिया है। इसे जापान इंटरनेशनल कोऑपरेशन एजेंसी (JICA) फंड कर रही थी और यह छह-लेन का हाईवे बनना था। इस प्रोजेक्ट से एननोर और कट्टुपल्ली पोर्ट्स तक कनेक्टिविटी बेहतर होगी।
