Eight pilgrims from West Bengal sustained serious injuries when their bus, carrying 26 devotees, overturned on the Ganga Expressway near Rae Bareli early Sunday. The pilgrims were en route to Varanasi for darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Preliminary reports indicate the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid nearly 100 metres before hitting the divider. Emergency response teams quickly arrived at the scene to rescue the passengers, who were then transported to a community health centre for treatment. Others on board suffered minor injuries.
