Larry Ellison Pledges $9.2 Billion More Oracle Shares

Larry Ellison has pledged an additional 67 million Oracle shares for personal loans, a 19% increase from last year, valued at approximately $9.2 billion. This move comes as Ellison assists his son David's company, Paramount, in its $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. The Ellisons are contributing $47 billion in equity funding for this deal. Ellison, Oracle's executive chair and chief technology officer, is uniquely permitted among company officers to pledge shares for personal loans. These pledged shares now represent about 36% of his total Oracle holdings.
