Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in New Delhi. The leaders welcomed the steady progress in India-China relations since their last meeting in August 2025. Both leaders reaffirmed the need for a long-term perspective on their ties, stating that differences should not escalate into disputes. Modi emphasized the importance of peace and tranquillity in border areas as a basis for bilateral relations.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नई दिल्ली में BRICS समिट के मौके पर चीनी राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग से मुलाकात की। दोनों नेताओं ने अगस्त 2025 में पिछली मुलाकात के बाद से भारत-चीन संबंधों में हुई प्रगति का स्वागत किया। उन्होंने कहा कि मतभेदों को विवाद नहीं बनने देना चाहिए और रिश्तों को लंबी अवधि के नजरिए से देखना चाहिए। मोदी ने सीमाई इलाकों में शांति और स्थिरता को द्विपक्षीय संबंधों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण बताया।
