Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Indonesia have signed a new multilateral defence pact called the ‘Badr Memorandum of Understanding’ in Doha. This agreement aims to strengthen military capabilities and expand cooperation in defence manufacturing, training, and research among the four nations. The pact seeks to deepen strategic partnerships and promote collaboration in developing modern defence technologies and industries. Unlike a previous pact signed in Mecca, this agreement focuses on defence industry collaboration and capability development rather than a mutual defence commitment.
