Kerala CM Slams CPI(M) Leader Over Remarks Calling Malappuram a 'Nest of Fundamentalists'

Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has strongly condemned CPI(M) leader P. Nandakumar for allegedly describing Malappuram district as a 'nest of fundamentalists and communalists'. Satheesan stated that the remarks were particularly concerning as they were made in the presence of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan without objection. He accused the CPI(M) of tacitly endorsing communal rhetoric and using 'dog-whistle politics' similar to the Sangh Parivar. Satheesan demanded an unconditional apology from the CPI(M) and Nandakumar, and called for clarification from Vijayan and the party's central leadership.

केरल के मुख्यमंत्री वी.डी. सतीसन ने सीपीआई(एम) नेता पी. नंदकुमार की मलप्पुरम जिले को "कट्टरपंथियों और सांप्रदायिक लोगों का अड्डा" बताने वाली कथित टिप्पणियों की कड़ी निंदा की है। सतीसन ने कहा कि ये टिप्पणियां विशेष रूप से चिंताजनक थीं क्योंकि ये पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री पिनाराई विजयन की उपस्थिति में बिना किसी आपत्ति के की गईं। उन्होंने सीपीआई(एम) पर सांप्रदायिक बयानबाजी को मूक समर्थन देने और संघ परिवार की तरह 'डॉग-व्हिसल पॉलिटिक्स' का इस्तेमाल करने का आरोप लगाया। सतीसन ने सीपीआई(एम) और नंदकुमार से बिना शर्त माफी मांगने की मांग की, और विजयन तथा पार्टी के केंद्रीय नेतृत्व से स्पष्टीकरण मांगा है।
