Dilli Haat Becomes New Protest Site Amid Delhi Police Crackdown

Amidst a police crackdown and detention of activists, lawyers, and journalists near Jantar Mantar, AISA activist Neha Bora declared Dilli Haat as the new protest site. Bora announced on X that Dilli Haat in INA would serve as the new location for demonstrations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police detained approximately 500 people who attempted to reach Jantar Mantar for a CJP protest, despite permission being denied and strict security measures enforced across New Delhi. Leaders of CJP were also detained at the Delhi airport upon their arrival.
