CPI(ML) Protests, Demands Chief Election Commissioner's Removal

CPI(ML) Liberation staged a protest march in Lucknow on Saturday, demanding the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and an immediate halt to the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. A delegation submitted a memorandum to the President seeking protection of voting rights and the release of detained activists. The party alleged its Lucknow district secretary was under house arrest and other activists were detained by the UP Special Task Force. The protest highlighted concerns about public confidence in the electoral process.

सीपीआई(एमएल) लिबरेशन ने शनिवार को लखनऊ में एक विरोध मार्च निकाला। उन्होंने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार को हटाने और चुनावी मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन संशोधन को तुरंत रोकने की मांग की। एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने राष्ट्रपति को एक ज्ञापन सौंपा, जिसमें वोटिंग अधिकारों की सुरक्षा और गिरफ्तार कार्यकर्ताओं की रिहाई की मांग की गई। पार्टी ने आरोप लगाया कि उनके लखनऊ जिला सचिव को घर में नजरबंद किया गया है और यूपी स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स ने अन्य कार्यकर्ताओं को हिरासत में लिया है। इस विरोध प्रदर्शन ने चुनावी प्रक्रिया में जनता के विश्वास को लेकर चिंताएं जताईं।
