Google has warned that organizations must prepare for potential widespread exploitation of a newly discovered bug in BeyondTrust's remote support appliances. A suspected China-linked hacking group, Armory Castle, reportedly exploited this vulnerability in August. Successful exploitation allows attackers to gain access to credentials, upload files, and take control of host systems. Google urges swift action to patch or mitigate the vulnerability now that it has been disclosed, as other malicious actors may also attempt to exploit it.
